Following an annual review visit, I was surprised to learn that the National Grid supply voltage to my house in Bridgend is 253v. This is right at (or over) the permitted maximum specified for domestic consumers in UK. Should power cuts and then re-startups occur, there would be temporary supply surges, with the potential to blow home appliances. We were very happy with the lad that came around for the installation, he was very professional.
